Keeping Occupied

OK, so I know I said I was going to try and keep blogging to this website, but I haven't done such a good job of it. *Hold me back a grade! All things considered, I have been relatively busy for the past month and a half since I have moved into my new home--mainly working outside in the yard. Who would have known that I have a green thumb? The last time I remember working in a yard was when I was 17 or 18 and I had to mow my neighbor's lawn for 20 bucks.

I have also realized in the time that I haven't written that I have failed to do a few of things that I have always enjoyed doing over the course of my early 30s: read and write. Who does that, right?

I remember a time nearly 4 years ago when I was consumed with reading books and writing journal entries to a MySpace blog site. Sometimes those thoughts revealed a deeper side to who I am while at other times I posted pictures or blogs about the "fun" side of me. It wasn't until yesterday when I was speaking with my dad on the phone and he mentioned how much he had been enjoying a new book that he had been reading on his Nook Reader. Seriously, I had to reexamine some things about myself in the past 24 hours and I know the answer about the things I used to do will have to be put back into practice. Sometimes it takes a riveting essay or book in order to get me back to the point where I once was.

Where do I go from here?
